I have heard so much about THE GARDEN IKOYI so I decided to visit, my first surprise was how small it was. From the video I saw online, I was expecting a very spacious garden. The entrance is an absolute dream, it had really cute colourful umbrellas as decor. And it gives a very welcoming first impression when you enter. It’s a perfect spot to hangout with family this festive season.
You have to be cautious on what you wear also as it was clearly stated at the entrance “No indecent dressing”.

The staff are very courteous and friendly which is something I value when visiting any restaurant. The lady who attended to me was very helpful.
The garden is in a very accessible area. It is located on Bayo kuku road off Alfred’s Rawane, Ikoyi.
They have a garden area, a Cafè, a patio, a bar and a flower shop. The bar and flower shop are actually together, it has this very pleasant smell. I guess it’s because of the fresh flowers.
Something else, the menu the waiter gave me was quite different from the one I saw online, the one o was given was quite limited. It had just pasta, pancakes, french toast and waffles. They also had very limited options for drinks, well I found out that Sunday brunch was in collaboration with a certain chef that’s why the menu was limited.
For food I had the creamy pesto pasta and it was really nice.
My friend had their spicy creamy tomato pasta which was served with meatballs which I tasted. I wasn’t really impressed, the meatballs tasted kinda stale and would not recommend at all.
For drinks I had a glass of Mimosa and a Bellini. The Bellini was a bit too sweet for me and the Mimosa was quite basic, nothing extraordinary.
The wait time before my meal arrived was really crazy, I waited for a little over an hour. Oh, I also think they need more staff or maybe it was just too crowded on the day I visited.

I almost forgot, please If you ever visit during the raining season don’t sit in the garden or patio, just avoid the outdoor area, recalling what happened now i can’t even stop laughing. just when my food arrived. It suddenly started raining, that was how everyone seated outdoors took to their heels, just imagine the entire crowd outside running into the tiny bar it wasn’t fun at all. The lady who attended to me noticed how I was dragging my food on one hand, drink on the other and also struggling with my handbag, she hurriedly got into the bar to secure a spot for me else I would have ended up standing to eat my food.
If you are looking for where to get flowers in Lagos, you should definitely check them out, not just flowers but everything to help you with your gardening needs.
There’s also a secured parking lot just opposite the garden, so nothing to worry about.
For a parking space, you pay N500 for 0 – 3 hours. Ensure you confirm when you got there before leaving because the guy in charge was already adding 40 mins when I was just stepping out of my car.
Overall I had a fairly good time, nothing extraordinary, really don’t know if I would be visiting them anytime soon as there are better pasta spots in town except their menu is improved.
